POT SENTENCES HIGHER THAN THOSE FOR SEXUAL ABUSE

I read the article about the parents who sexually abused their own minor 
children with complete disbelief ("Indictment: Adults abused own kids, 
e-mailed photos," Aug 10). Short of murder, could there be a more heinous 
crime?

Of course there is. Conspiracy to possess marijuana with intent to 
distribute it is a more heinous crime.

How can I say that? Simple. Look at the penalties. They should be a 
reflection of the seriousness of the crime, right?

My statutory minimum sentence for allegedly conspiring to possess marijuana 
(20 years) is the perverted parents' statutory maximum sentence.

Ergo, conspiring to move marijuana is a worse crime than molesting your own 
children.

Sure it is.
