TRAWICKI A STRONG SUPPORTER OF DARE

On Sept. 10, residents of Waukesha County will be electing a new sheriff.
The leader of the largest law enforcement agency in the county should
possess the qualities of integrity, ethics and strong family and community
values. I have personally known Dan Trawicki and his family for more than
12 years, and know from experience that he is honest, fair and has the
personal integrity that is so needed in our political leaders in this day
and age.

As a teacher in the Kettle Moraine School District, I also believe we need
an advocate for the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program, which is in
danger of losing funding. Dan is a strong supporter of the DARE program in
our schools and has spoken at Dousman Elementary School graduation for the
past five years. He makes an average of 25 appearances at DARE graduations
in area schools each year. He not only gives kids a positive anti-drug
message, he inspires them to be the best they can be.

Dan started at the sheriff's department in 1979 and is currently second in
command. We need a leader in the department who has the experience,
commitment and leadership ability to run the agency that keeps our
communities safe. I would like to encourage you to consider Dan Trawicki
for sheriff when you vote Sept. 10.
