The mental health situation is clearly a lot more serious than we thought.

Many of us, including your reporter, seem to be suffering under the 
delusion that the state has the right to punish people for what they choose 
to ingest into their own bodies. Truly, we must be mad.

Not since a majority of white folk thought that slavery was OK has the 
mental health of the population been so in need of attention.
