JUST LET US GROW IT WITHOUT GETTING BUSTED

Senators must have been high themselves when they were preparing their
600-page report on the reform of existing marijuana laws. The suggestion to
legalize, tax and control distribution could only have been made after too
many bong hits.

Does the Senate really think organized crime and the like are going to stop
producing pot or line up for licences and GST numbers?

The supposed savings in law enforcement would surely be eaten up in trying
to keep what would be illegally grown marijuana from making it to market.

The only way to take the golden goose away from organized crime is to
decriminalize simple possession and allow people to legally grow their own
personal amounts without the threat of police drug squads breaking down
their doors.
