As are many of the Sentinel's readers, I am outraged by the DEA's raid of
the medical marijuana farm outside Davenport.

Everything about the raid sickened me - the tactics, the weapons, the
attitude, the timing. I believe the federal agents did this simply because
they could, and I urge people to make noise, to use their voices, to write
to their senators and congressmen and urge them to get the slow machine of
change started to change the federal laws regarding the use of marijuana
and industrial hemp.

How are we supposed to know what is allowable when we're operating under
such vastly different sets of laws? The current federal laws regarding
industrial hemp are just plain illogical, and to get a new law on the books
regarding medicinal marijuana would take vision and courage. If enough
people make enough noise, our representatives will not be able to ignore us.
