LESS GOVERNMENT

Sunday, September 22, 2002 - What would electing Rick Stanley to the U.S.
Senate mean to Colorado and America? First, it would break the 150-year
death grip of the Democrats and Republicans on the U.S. Senate. In 2004,
other third-party candidates would follow. Stanley would be the deciding
vote, deciding the balance of power in the Senate. Stanley, a citizen
legislator, would make those decisions based on the Constitution, not the
party politics of a professional politician or a lawyer. Stanley has a job
already and would only serve one 6-year term. "One-term limits" will create
a government by and for the people, per our forefathers' wishes, ending the
corruption, fraud and waste of the bloated federal bureaucracy.

Stanley would cajole the Senate to repeal all unconstitutional laws passed
in the last 150 years. Resurrecting the Constitution is the key to solving
all our problems. My election would mean:

The Federal Reserve Corporation, which illegally controls our money supply,
would be replaced by the constitutionally correct U.S. Treasury.

The $7 trillion dollar debt to the Fed would be renounced as a fraud
against the American people from the 1913 selling-out of America.

The Income Tax and IRS would be abolished, because that is what pays the
interest fraud of the federal debt.

Federal government services will be funded the same way they have been
since 1776, by excise, imposts and duties. Yes, by taxes on gas, liquor,
tobacco and products coming into this country. The federal government would
be reduced to its constitutional boundaries of a strong military,
executive, legislative and judicial branches, and it would follow
constitutional principles of common law, not the admiralty martial law
principles being used by government at all levels.

No more police state. Citizens will be free to possess the means to defend
themselves, their homes and property, without fear of being disarmed and
imprisoned by government.

The end of legislation regarding our individual freedoms, the right to
property, free from the predatory practices of government stealing your
property and locking your children up in jails for personal- responsibility
issues.

The end of the second Prohibition, the drug war, which is designed to
perpetuate the problem, not make it go away.

American sovereignty would be protected by banning the United Nations from
our soil and withdrawing from its clutches. End all treaties and trade
agreements, withdraw from NATO and stop wasting American assets in
fruitless efforts to control other governments.

Bring our troops home from the 147 countries in which they serve. Stop
sacrificing our sons and daughters in wars designed to further the
interests of the globalists who control our government.

Stanley will get government off your back, out of your pocket, and prevent
the government from taking your property. That's right: FREEDOM from
government, per the Constitution.

Denver businessman Rick Stanley is the Libertarian gubernatorial nominee.
