GET OVER IT

THE CAT'S out of the bag now, folks. Marijuana use is rampant in baseball.
Well, at least on the New York Mets. One wonders if they use it because
they suck, or they suck because they use it. I'll leave that for another
debate.

I'm simply curious at the spin the American media has put on the story.
You'd swear they were talking about crack cocaine. In an age where
marijuana use is at an all-time high (sorry), you would think somebody in
every newsroom uses it. Or a reporter, or the camera operator, or the producer.

Point is, almost everyone at the least, knows someone who uses pot. And
they all can attest it is harmless. I have a feeling the media slap that
look of disgust on their faces when they talk about it on air, only to
spark up a fat one on the way home.

The hypocritical scare-mongering is mind numbing (sorry again). We can all
move forward to decriminalization, and legalization when the media treat it
as it should be treated. That is, with passing interest. People all over
the planet use it ... get over it. I won't watch the news much in the
future, but I will still watch baseball. Although, thanks to the marijuana
munchies, I'll never again look at a player eating sunflower seeds the same
way.
