ILLEGAL DRUGS Re: The letter "Don't Legalize Everything" (A-J, 9-15). I really don't understand the letter writer's claim on why some drugs should not be legalized. There are some legal drugs out there that cause more harm, in my opinion, than some of the drugs that are illegal. So he is absolutely correct on stating that not all things should be legal, but maybe we should rethink some of the things that aren't compared to some substances that are. I also don't see how any of this has to do with Adam and Eve? Those choices were made because God specifically said not to do something. Now, we are given free will, but we pretty much know the difference between what is wrong and right. From my point of view, using the Bible to look done on certain actions is wrong. I think you should look at what is going on around you today, and research things without a biased point of view. If you never question what you know, you will never figure things out on your own. Put down your Bible for just a little while and read a book that deals with the issues of today. JAMES VILLANUEVA/Slaton Via e-mail - --- MAP posted-by: Josh
