RELEGALIZE CANNABIS

WHEN I read the account of heroin dealing at Toronto high schools in the
Saturday Sun ("Smacked!", Sept. 21), I could not help but note that the
suspects are accused of selling heroin, cocaine and marijuana. This
confirms what the Senate recently stated, that those who sell cannabis also
sell hard drugs, and that this is the path from cannabis to hard drugs. The
senators correctly concluded that the only way to sever that path is to
relegalize cannabis.

(By that logic, why not legalize coke and heroin too? See next letter)
