Over three days in October, more than 700 students will go through a series of 'pit stops' that will show them fun ways to make safe choices about drugs. The sessions end as stucents cheer on school teams participating in a remote-control car race. "Racing Against Drugs is a good example of the community working together to make a difference in the lives of young people," said Adele Payne, public health nurse with the Simcoe County District Health Unit. "The program is built on the belief that students will make healthy choices when given accurate information." The program is sponsored by the RCMP, and is designed to promote a drug-free healthy lifestyle. - --- MAP posted-by: Larry Stevens
