Are you guys aware of the contradicting nature of a couple of your favorite political stances? You're against a war with Iraq, fearing that innocent lives will be jeopardized. Yet you advocate the use and legalization of marijuana. Now, I've never met anyone who advocates this that hasn't used the stuff before and very few that do not use it regularly. Those who do use the drug routinely, or have used it, support the domino effect of violent crimes involved with its trafficking. From the tips of your roach clips, to the schoolyard dealers, to the killing fields of the South and Central American farmlands (usurped from innocent farmers by cartels), you're just as guilty of the violence and deaths along the way. You've funded them. You may argue that the above is one reason why you want to legalize the stuff, but that doesn't excuse the violent crimes supported and perpetuated by its users from the beginning of its popularity to today. Why is it ok to shit on one Third World country, in your eyes, but not another? Especially when one country, led by a maniacal tyrant, is a threat to our safety. Last time I checked, safety is a necessity -- marijuana is not. Even if Bush does want to kick Iraqi ass for oil, how is that different from those who buy marijuana and thus are just as responsible for the lives they jeopardize in doing so? Either way, you're both defecating on the Third World of your choice. Why be a hypocrite about it? Your views on war and marijuana issues actually cancel each other out. Matt Helm (Malarkey. You've been duped by the (recently cancelled) multi-billion dollar PR campaign that the federal government has been waging as part of its failed war on drugs. We haven't.
