LEGALIZE POT

To the editor:

I'm inclined to agree with Libertarian candidate Lee Monnet.

Two coming tax problems solved. Tax money would be immediately available by
taking marijuana off the criminal list. Regulation of marijuana is pass due.

St Lawrence County wants to raise taxes to increase the budget by $35
million next year? Tax marijuana...

St Lawrence County needs a bigger jail? Yet violent crime is lowest since
1973 (Sept. 9, 2002). Quit chasing non-problematic marijuana users....

After all, can't keep marijuana out of the County jail (May 14, 2002, July
1, 2002). How do you keep marijuana off the streets?
