DRUG WAR HALLMARKS

Betty Kruk wrote on 10/16: "If I were on my deathbed, in severe pain, I
would not want to smoke marijuana to relieve that pain. I would not be so
selfish as to want something made legal which will cause great harm to
young people and others who become addicts."

Does she also want to do away with morphine, codeine, Demerol, Fentanyl,
and all the other legal narcotic analgesics used to alleviate pain caused
by illness and surgery? After all, some people do get addicted to them, no?

Did Ms. Kruk, "a recovering cancer patient", turn away the painkillers she
was offered while ill? If she took them, what incredible hypocrisy.

But it comes as no surprise. Hypocrisy, absurdity, and lies are hallmarks
of the drug war, and especially the marijuana witch hunt.

Vote yes on Question 9 and help end the rotten war on drugs.
