Dubbed "Marcha Laban sa Droga," the march rally, which was participated in by the members of the CADAC headed by Mayor Bernardo Vergara, Cadac chair, Vice Mayor Betty Lourdes Tabanda, action officer, and representatives of various government agencies, student councils, non-government organizations and the various Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils began at the top of Session Road down to the Athletic Bowl where the closing program was held. A highlight of the program was the burning of the drug menace effigy and illegal drugs confiscated in the recent drive. Another highlight was the awarding of certificates and plaques to 20 individuals, eight organizations and 11 schools who have actively participated in the implementation of the anti-drug abuse program. The awardees were Baguio Colleges Foundation professor Rommel Manwong, Brent schoolteacher and psychologist Ma. Ramona Santos, Dr. Zoraida Clavio of the Baguio Health Department, City Director Jose Rapanut of the Department of Interior and Local Government-Baguio, Department of Education supervisor Eliza Agoo, Sr. Insp. Edgar Apallaa of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Liza Bulayungan of the Office of the City Social Welfare and Development Office, Dorothy Dacumos, project officer of Cadac, Prosecutors Conrado Catral Jr., Alfredo Centeno and Elmer Sagsago, Korean missionaries Rev. Yang Kun Bae and Rev. Bokki Min, Professor Magdalena Gapuz, Baguio City National High School Guidance Counselor Ofelia Padlan, Insp. Eduardo Garcia, Police Station 7 chief, PDEA Insp. Glenn Lonogan and local government officer Odemar Cawis. Other awardees were the Association of Marketing Educators Philippines (Committee on Youth), Baguio City Consortium, SLU College of Accountancy and Commerce, Department of Marketing, Management and Entrepreneurship, Youth on Fire, Pines City Chess Club Inc., United Church of Christ in the Philippines, Save Our Street Children Foundation Inc., Child and Family Services Inc., Baguio Federation of Parents-Teachers and Community Association (Parents Against Drugs). Baguio City National High School, BCNHS Dona Aurora Annex, Pines City National High School, Irisan National High School, University of Baguio High School, SLU Boys and Girls High Schools, St. Louis Aurora Hill High School, St Louis Pacdal High School, BCF High School and San Pablo Seminary were also duly recognized. The celebration of the Anti-Drug Abuse Month last November was marked by a series of information campaign on the ill effects of drug abuse and various contests top billed by the search for the best barangay anti-drug abuse program.
