Victoria -- Re Parliamentary Committee To Recommend New Pot Law (Dec.11): Randy White, Alliance vice-chairman of the Parliamentary committee on the use of non-medical drugs, estimates 30 grams of marijuana to be worth $50 to $80 -- an amount he considers too high. Too high? More like the sale of the century! As many Canadians can attest, typical prices for an ounce of pot (28 grams) range from $200 to $240. That the vice-chairman of a parliamentary committee and a vociferous critic of recreational drug use is so laughably out of touch ought to make us question the validity of his committee's research and conclusions. Thirty grams for $80 -- dude, you've been sold some bad dope. Justin Mcgrail - --- MAP posted-by: Jay Bergstrom
