LISTEN TO THE MAJORITY

CANADA IS a land of vast opportunities and freedoms, and being a democratic
society means the voice of the people prevails. In many instances, our
politicians and governing bodies fail to listen to the people - Kyoto,
changes to the family court systems, gun registry and, finally, the
de-criminalization of pot. Canadians must take heed as our society is
changing and not for the better. There is a revolution in the works that it
is changing the way we look at marriage, morals, family life, and right and
wrong. We complain about the taxes going up. We have to hire police
officers and pay for helicopters yet it's OK to decriminalize a
mind-altering substance that does lead to higher crime rates, harder drug
use and the societal problems of addiction. When will common sense prevail
in Canada? I'll tell you: when the government listens to the majority, not
the special interest groups.
