TURMEL IS A HERO

RE "POT grower a 'danger,' " (March 15): Prosecutor Anouk Desaulniers
states Mr. Turmel can't monitor what happens to the marijuana after
he sells it. She states that it might end up with school children.

School children can buy all the marijuana they want because of
prohibition. There are dealers everywhere. Billions of dollars worth
of beer are sold every year and no one monitors it after it leaves
the store. The children end up with plenty of beer yet nothing is
done to the beer distributors.

Desaulniers is part of the problem with the world and Mr. Turmel is
what we need more of. Is it mandatory when becoming a politician,
judge or any other government position that you be a cruel,
heartless, zombie supporter of the war on freedom (drug war) or are
these people born that way?

Mr. Turmel is a hero that history will remember, Desaulniers and all
the other drug warriors will just fade away into nothing.

(Hero or not, complaining that a prosecutor says something unpleasant
about the person she's trying to convict seems a little pointless)
