HARD-LINE DRUG POLICY

Re "High court backs hard-line drug policy in public housing," March
27 article:

Because a relative or guest of a public housing tenant is involved in
illegal narcotics, this brilliant law often causes the eviction of
innocent, economically disadvantaged people, in some cases the
elderly, from their public housing.

In all fairness shouldn't the Supreme Court consider the eviction of
Gov. Jeb Bush from his "public housing" because of his relationship to
a person charged with a drug offense? Absurd, isn't it?

So is this Republican-backed law and Supreme Court. If this law were
applied across the socioeconomic spectrum, perhaps it would be
reconsidered and thrown out as it should be, instead of gaining more
support in the highest court in the land.
