A 'HARMLESS' DEBATE

Is anyone else getting tired of the same old prohibitionist song and 
dance ["'Harmless' Marijuana? Don't Bet Your Life on It," Viewpoints, 
May 3]. Compared to the destruction wrought by prohibition, marijuana 
is harmless.

Voters consistently express support for the medicinal use of 
marijuana and are getting warmer to the idea of legalization. 
Unfortunately, the will of the people only counts when the federal 
government wants it to.
