SUFFERER IS FINED UKP 50 OVER DRUG

A SPINA BIFIDA sufferer who uses cannabis to alienate pain was fined UKP 50 
for possessing the drug.

Weymouth magistrates heard Jason Daniel Philip Cuddy, 22, of Beverly Road, 
Weymouth, plead guilty to possessing 0.829 grams of cannabis resin on March 12.

Conrad Lakeman, prosecuting, said police entered Cuddy's home at 8.45 am 
and found the drug on a coffee table.

In mitigation, Simon Lacey said: "It is a very small amount, valued at 50 p 
of a UKP 1.  He suffers from spina bifida and is allergic to most painkillers
