A COLUMNIST WE DON'T NEED

Re "A pot war we don't need," by Steve Madely (July 10): Steve Madely 
thinks we should continue to wage a drug war on our own citizens because 
the U.S. wants us to. I couldn't disagree more. Would he have counselled 
that Canada abide by U.S. law some 150 years ago and refuse to shelter 
runaway slaves?

Your readers do not deserve to be lectured to in such an ignorant and 
prissy fashion.
