JOHN'S, Nfld. (CP) -- Former Londoner Marc Emery added another arrest for smoking marijuana to his growing list when he lit up outside a police headquarters in Newfoundland. The pot activist was read his rights just seconds after he put his lighter to the large water pipe. The stop in St. John's was the latest for Emery, now a Vancouver resident, on his cross-country tour to protest Canada's pot laws. He has also been arrested in Moncton, N.B., Winnipeg and Regina. The 45-year-old later reappeared from the headquarters of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary and addressed about 100 of his supporters. Some members of the group extended an invitation to the publisher of Cannabis Culture magazine to join them for smoking and further discussion at a local park. - --- MAP posted-by: Jackl
