A FELONY CONVICTION IS A PRISON THAT LASTS A LIFETIME

I been reading a lot of letters criticizing Judge Joel August. I do not
agree with all of his rulings, but he is a good judge.

A felony conviction for some minor infraction gives that person a criminal
record that will stay with him or her for the rest of their life. A lot of
companies will not hire someone with a felony on their record. Exporting
more prisoners to Mainland prisons is not the answer. Also, I'm against
corporations running prisons for a profit. The state of Hawaii needs more
drug treatment facilities. Gov. Linda Lingle should do less talking and more
walking. She should fund a drug treatment facility as soon as possible.
