Pot is less dangerous than aspirin It is true that aspirin can be a safe and effective medicine. However, more than 7,000 deaths each year are attributed to it. On the other hand, marijuana consumption does not kill. Marijuana, formally known as cannabis, has no known lethal dose. It has been used medicinally without ill effect since 2737 BC. (See www.marijuanainfo.org.) The Drug Enforcement Agency's own legislative judge, Francis L.
