DRUG ADDICTION

Drug addiction is a disease, not a crime.  USA Today's article "'Meth' move
East" brags about the massive police resources spent on busting drug labs
(Cover story, News, Wednesday). But I bet if we spent half as much money on
treatment and prevention, we wouldn't have the labs in the first place.
