WEEDED OUT

Re: "Few apply for gov't pot stash," July 22.

My medicine is two years late. On July 31, 2000, Health Canada was
ordered to comfort the sick and dying (Parker vs. Ontario Court of
Appeal). The marijuana medical access regulations were implemented a
year after that, yet there is no place to fill prescriptions legally.
In fact, compassion clubs continue to be raided, robbed and,
thankfully, re-established. This makes a medical marijuana membership
card as useful for me as a hat rack is for a cow. The recent news that
cannabis will be supplied to patients makes me ecstatic. My rheumatoid
arthritis makes writing this letter, and even licking the stamp, an
agonizing ordeal without cannabis. All I want is a safe, reliable and
preferably legal supply of medicine.
