POT WOULD SIMPLIFY IT FOR POLITICIANS

Canadians have the freedom to set their own personal standards, but social
standards are also needed to guide a country.

The legalization of "pot" would simplify it for politicians. No longer
would Canadians be concerned that "kiddie porn" is making advances through
the courts. If the solution to our cash-strapped healthcare system was to
introduce euthanasia, we'd just respond "whatever man." The change in the
definition of marriage, that Canadians have always held sacred, would also
not be such a big deal.

Referendums on social issues need to be held while Canadians can still
think clearly. Where we are going and what kind of society we want to live
in should be decided by all Canadians, not just a few key politicians.

(We agree, although polls show Canadians are evenly divided on the issue)
