US EMBASSY EXTOLS NDLEA'S PROFESSIONALISM

Lagos - The United States Embassy in Nigeria, has commended the
Chairman/Chief Executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency
(NDLEA), Alhaji Bello Lafiaji, for successfully imparting into the officers
and men "the rare sense of professionalism leading to the outstanding
performance of the agency".

The Embassy through a statement made available to THISDAY and signed by Mr.
Michael H. Bonner, in the office of the Consulate General, expressed
satisfaction at the excellent job being carried out by members of the NDLEA
serving in the Special Investigation Assignment (SIA), a unit charged with
intercepting narcotic and fraud-related parcels and correspondences.

Bonner stated: "As at yesterday Tuesday, the NDLEA team has actively
prevented over $400,000 in credit card/check fraud. Without their strong
work ethic and due diligence, the accomplishments could have never been
achieved".
