The government wants to de-criminalize marijuana use and open up the market to more criminals. I have no problem with people smoking marijuana, but I do have a problem with the stupidity of expanding the criminal market. It is as if we have no ability or courage to look back and learn from prohibition. If you want to solve a problem, you have to have control. It seems governments just lack the courage to do the right thing. The irony of the whole thing is that the marijuana plant may be the most productive plant with its ability to produce fabric, oils, rope and medicine, just to name a few. Keep writing, we need more intelligent voices speaking out. David Hutchison, New Westminster - --- MAP posted-by: Josh
