LEGALIZE MARIJUANA

I don't know what the big problem is with legalizing marijuana. Throughout
history, marijuana has been used for pleasurable and medical reasons. Only
recently in history has it been deemed an illegal act to smoke it. I
believe that if a dying person who has been infected with HIV or is
suffering with cancer and is living in absolute pain can be relieved of
this pain with the use of marijuana, then I don't see what the big deal is.
It's not like the government is legalizing it for eight-year-old children
who would use it irresponsibly. Instead, it's for patients who suffer every
day. These people will most likely die, and if there is a medication,
whether it be marijuana or otherwise, that will relieve some of the pain
that that person is going through, then I fully support it.

(It's a controversial issue.)
