RESIGNATION CALLED FOR 

I commend you for your forthright editorial of Sept. 28, regarding Thomas
Gilbert.

His conduct does not merit a minute's consideration for resumption of duty
on the bench. The realization that this individual asked for votes and
support from this community, while knowing he had, on a consistent basis,
broken the law he pledged to uphold, leaves me cold. 

Thomas Gilbert needs to resign. By doing so, our court will have regained
the dignity and honesty it has previously maintained. Additionally, this
community will have the court it deserves.
