DON'T TAKE CREDIT FOR DR. BALL'S SUCCESS

IN HER OCT. 1 letter to the editor, "Neighbors won't sit quietly in clinic
fight," Amy Jackson said, "Dr. William Ball can discontinue this lease under
moral obligation to the community that helped him get started."

Dr. Ball established his practice in a small office on Electric Road. Due to
his exceptional knowledge of medicine and his compassion and dedication to
his patients, his practice was successful and expanded.

As his practice grew, his need for a larger clinic also grew. Eventually, he
moved his practice to an old house on Colonial Avenue, which he purchased
and paid to have renovated. He brought to this community a group of
outstanding physicians who, in my opinion, stand out from the rest.

So, as for the "neighbors who won't sit quietly," fight your battle, but
don't take credit where credit isn't due.

As for the methadone clinic, drug addictions occur for many reasons and can
take control of anyone, whether that person be poor, middle class or rich.
Are you ready to send your loved one several miles away for treatment
knowing that a clinic designed to help those with a real need could be right
around the corner?
