PRINCIPAL'S CONCERNS MISPLACED

Re: Principal disappointed drug tests killed (Oct. 23). Principal Dan
Giesbrecht is quoted as saying, "I wish it would have went to the courts to
seek a challenge..."

Assuming the quote is accurate, I would suggest that the principal
should forget his obsession with drugs and brush up on his English
language skills. He also states that random testing of students for
drugs isn't meant as "policing." He should get a dictionary and look
up the meaning of policing while he's brushing up on his English grammar.

He'd be more useful as a law enforcement officer than as a principal
of a school. I, for one, wish his career choice had "went" in that
direction.
