LISA'S COLUMN ON MARIJUANA HIT THE MARK

Kudos to Andrew Lisa for his outstanding column: "In war on drugs,
slap cuffs on true criminals" (DJ-10/18).

As to why the Bush administration opposes the legalization of
marijuana even for sick and dying patients, perhaps it has something
to do with the fact that George W. Bush received more than $477,000
from the pharmaceutical industry in 2000 and nothing from the
marijuana industry.
