Rush Limbaugh is just like any other junkie? Come on; get real. There is a huge difference between your average junkie and Rush. The average junkie does his drugs because that is how he gets his kicks. He enjoys the high. Don't get me wrong. What Rush has done is totally wrong. But in his defense, Rush had a very complicated spinal surgery that didn't work, and he was in constant excruciating pain. He admits he should have done something with his physician then, but didn't want to face yet another trying surgery. Instead he took the pills to edge the horrible pain he was in and he got hooked. Oh, and name me one time he called someone a vicious name? I have listened to Rush for about eight years now and never one time heard him call someone an unfounded name. He says things like Puff Daschle instead of Tom, but you and I both know that is not being vicious. You want to talk about name-calling, how about Al Franken? How about him calling Rush "a big fat liar?" What Rush did is unacceptable, but you blew it way out of proportion. Oh, and I must ask, did you feel this strongly when President Clinton not only committed adultery in the White House but when he was accused of rape, sexual harassment and other sordid things? Not if, but when Rush returns to the microphone, he will do it with the polite dignity and honesty he has displayed for years, and he will tell the truth about what happened and not hide anything. There is a big difference in a partying drug head and someone who has a dangerous spinal surgery that ends up in so much pain they barely function. I admit both are wrong, just not equally wrong. I do appreciate your opinion and articles. Diverse opinions are what make America great. God Bless! Doug Boyd Wichita Falls - --- MAP posted-by: Larry Seguin
