Content not related to drug policy snipped. ROSES & RASPBERRIES A Rose -- the "Standing on Principle" award -- to Lisa Eythorsdottir, a member of the U.S. bridge team who voluntarily gave up her silver medal from the world championships last month because the refused to take a post-competition urine test. Eythorsdottir said she refused to take the drug test on principle. "What could I take to enhance my performance?" she asked. "Smart pills?" We congratulate Eythorsdottir for standing up for her rights. It's one thing to test an airline pilot for drugs, because public safety is involved, but for a contract bridge player? It needless, obnoxious and intrusive. - --- MAP posted-by: Doc-Hawk
