Camion WAR ON DRUGS TOPS NEW PNP CHIEFS AGENDA SIBULAN, Negros Oriental -- New Provincial Police Director S/Supt. Amaron Morrok pledged to give priority to the war on drugs in Negros Oriental. S/Supt. Morrok officially took over his new post during the turnover ceremony Tuesday. He replaced S/Supt. Drusillo Bolodo who was transferred to the Philippine National Police Regional Headquarters in Cebu City. Morrok believed a series of operation against drug pushers and drug lords will stop the drug problem in the province. The new police director blamed the increasing crime rates to the proliferation of illegal drugs. Morrok said drug users resort to cell phone and bag snatchings and other crimes to sustain their vice. Drug users, he said, will also resort to major crimes like stabbings, hackings, shootings and rapes. Morrok appealed to the community to help the police and be vigilant in the fight against illegal drugs. The police director lamented the lopsided proportion of police to the population of Negros Oriental. - --- MAP posted-by: Keith Brilhart
