Had he been less "well known" and, therefore, less wealthy, he would have had to use other (street-level) means to support his drug habit -- ultimately being arrested, as he has advocated doing to drug offenders for years. Instead, investigators stooped to "unusual and overreaching" (old- fashioned and constitutional) methods of accessing his records by obtaining a court-ordered search warrant as opposed to simply barging in and muscling out with them, as the "Patriot (Oxymoron) Act," which he vigorously supports, allows.
