SCHOOL DRUG POLICY: HAVE WE GONE TOO FAR?

You know, I understand that there are valid concerns about drugs in
our schools. I understand that there is a need for rules, regulations
and punishments for children who knowingly expose other children to
these dangers, and for the parents of these children.

However, I wonder if we've been so jaded by the push to be "pro-
active" in correcting the problems at hand that we can't tell the
difference between a pill-pushing pre-teen and an absent-minded
adolescent who just forgot to take his daily Flintstone?

I applaud any and all efforts to rid our schools and communities of
drugs, but how far is "too far"?
