THREE CHARGED AFTER DRUG RAIDS

THREE people have been charged following a series of drugs raids in Suffolk.

Cocaine, heroin, cannabis and cannabis plants have all been seized during
the raids within the Woodbridge sector.

A 26-year-old man has been charged with possession of cocaine, a
41-year-old man with possession of heroin and a 17-year-old man has been
charged with producing cannabis.

A 16-year-old has been reprimanded for possession of cannabis and a
31-year-old man has been cautioned with the same offence.

Orford, Rendlesham, Melton and Sudbourne were all targeted in the raids
which are part of Suffolk police's campaign against drugs called Operation
Crackdown.

Inspector Trevor Brundle, Woodbridge Sector commander said police would
continue to be active in tackling possession and supply.

He said: "Clearly drug related problems are not confined to more urban areas.

"All communities need to be aware of this and liaise closely with their
community police officers of they have any suspicions concerning drugs misuse.

"Information will be acted on.

"If parents or anyone else has concerns and needs helps or guidance on the
subject, there is literature available from police stations and many
partnership agencies are able to assist."

Anyone with information about the supply or production of drugs can contact
Operation Crackdown on #### ###### or police on ##### ######.
