The United States halted the program in April 2001 after the Peruvian air force accidentally shot down a small aircraft and killed a U.S. missionary and her daughter. The White House plans to resume the aerial interdiction program in a month or two in Colombia, according to a top official, but no date has been set for Peru. - --- MAP posted-by: Doc-Hawk
