POT PARLEY

We're not sure how well-known Washington publisher and columnist Bill
Regardie likes to unwind after toiling in the fourth estate, but tomorrow
he's "speaking out for social change" at the National Organization for the
Reform of Marijuana Laws' national conference in San Francisco.

Longtime publisher of the now-defunct Regardies Magazine, who presently pens
a column for the Hill newspaper on Capitol Hill, Mr. Regardie is a proud
member of the NORML advisory board.

"There are not many times in the lives of men when they can stand up and
make their beliefs known," the publisher says of his involvement with NORML.
"I look forward to participating in this year's conference with great
enthusiasm." Joining the Washington publisher for the four-day conference
will be actor and hemp activist Woody Harrelson, medicinal-marijuana
activist Ed Rosenthal, San Francisco District Attorney Terence Hallinan,
Canadian Sen. Pierre Claude Nolin and American Civil Liberties Union
President Nadine Strossen.
