DEFINITIONS OF JUSTICE

Re "Plea bargain for Ujaama," April 15: This guy gets a 21-month prison 
term for aiding the terrorist organization al-Qaida. But AIDs patients 
growing a plant that can enable them to tolerate the chemotherapy or allow 
them to do something as simple as eat could be sentenced to 10 years.

I'm still not sure I got this right: Kill, or assist in the killing, 
however indirect that may be, of thousands of people, spend less than two 
years in jail. Smoke a marijuana cigarette, and die in jail.

Something is seriously wrong here.
