DRUG CZAR DOESN'T SPEAK FOR AMERICA

Re: Pot plan puts U.S. noses out of joint

I hope Star readers will keep in mind that John Walters and his "drug
czar" predecessors don't speak for all Americans.

In fact, many of us in the States increasingly look to Canada for
leadership on social issues -- not just drug policy reform, but
health-care funding, urban planning, recognition of gay marriages and
more. If the Bush administration succeeds politically, we'll see the
United States slip further and further down the ladder of progress.

So, we say to Canadians: Don't let Walters push you around.
