DRUG ADDLED?

It is popular to use the words "drug addled" to describe marijuana users. 
In Bill Kaufmann's Aug, 28 column he remembers the Rolling Stones as being 
"drug addled." The Stones got high a lot, but always managed to show up to 
work and do an outstanding job of delivering ground-breaking and literally 
earth-shaking rock and roll to a generation of remuneratively appreciative 
fans. It's no secret the Rolling Stones did drugs, but maybe they weren't 
so "addled" by the
experience after all.
