Re "Medicinal pot's leader receives lenient sentence," June 5: Bravo to U.S. District Judge Breyer for sentencing medical marijuana activist Ed Rosenthal to one day, already served, in county jail, instead of the 60 years in federal prison that he could have. And bravo to Rosenthal for promising to appeal. Somehow, Breyer managed to see the unreasonableness of sending a man to prison for aiding his fellow man. What Breyer didn't see, and I believe the U.S. Supreme Court will someday see, is that the Controlled Substances Act violates the Ninth and 10th amendments of the Constitution. - - Gerald Klaas, Sacramento - --- MAP posted-by: Jay Bergstrom
