It is true marijuana is much less dangerous than alcohol. The high marijuana produces can be habit forming, abused and psychologically addictive -- as can anything from overeating to "oops-I-just-maxxed-out-my-husband's-credit-card" shopping sprees. But the drug itself has no addictive substances. It's a safe, enjoyable high when used in moderation. Here are three reasons why I think it will never be fully legalized: * You can grow it yourself, so the government wouldn't be able to tax it at 800 per cent it's value (like cigarettes.) * People who suffer from certain forms of chronic pain will finally realize the thousands of dollars they spend on codeine, or whatever is floating around these days, is a complete waste of money. * Many people would start "going to pot," and quit abusing alcohol, nicotine and other physically addictive drugs.
