Silber 'THREE-STRIKES' LAW IS NEEDED It is time for lawmakers to step up to the plate and pass a "Three Strikes, You're Out" law in Mississippi, to give long, mandatory sentences for a third conviction. There must be a commitment to prioritizing funds and building jail cells to accommodate the thugs. These local "terrorists" have changed our way of life, and it's time we rise up and say, "Enough." Multi-page rap sheets must become a long-forgotten memory. Do lawmakers hear the people? What good does it do the police to haul these evildoers into jail time after time? Let's try some tough love. We urge lawmakers to pass a Three Strikes law. Yes, three strikes - not 20, 30 or 40 strikes. We are calling on lawmakers to restore the freedom we enjoyed as children. We want freedom from this reign of crime before it's too late. Marion V. Silber, Jackson - --- MAP posted-by: Josh
