But the battle is far from over. Medical marijuana patients still face the threat of arrest by federal agents every day. In response to the federal government's continuing assault on medical marijuana patients and providers, we have introduced a new medical marijuana bill (H.R. 1717) that would end the federal government's gag on medical marijuana defendants in court. H.R.1717 is known as the Truth in Trials Act. We believe that it is the best hope for reform in Congress and has a realistic chance of being broadly supported across party lines. We cannot just sit back passively as the federal government wages war on the sick and the dying. It is time to increase the pressure on your representatives in Congress to pass legislation that will protect patients who legitimately require medical marijuana. Please write your congressman in support of H.R. 1717. BUSTER JONES Albany - --- MAP posted-by: SHeath(DPFFlorida)
