Obviously, this is all about forfeiture money and how the haul will be divvied up. That doesn't make Bauer or Dodge County guilty of anything; the federal forfeiture laws have always been abused this way. It's in their nature. I don't know how drug law forfeiture passed the Supreme Court, but it sure doesn't pass the average citizen's "smell test."
